HEATHEN HARVEST REVIEWS DISCRETION - MAKING CONTACT c44

here awesome review of justin lakes's release MAKING CONTACT under the DISCRETION moniker. i released this tape on my label, and i still have copies for sale on the catalog page.

full review: http://heathenharvest.org/2012/12/19/discretion-making-contact

here's an excerpt: Discretion is a minimal and reserved noise project from Justin of the Power Electronics project Pusdrainer. I was surprised at the mellow and in fact quite pleasant nature of the release, as Pusdrainer is known for excessively harsh material. I rather liked the mellow and completely non-committal, transient nature of this release. I don’t know if he considers this project to be some variation of Harsh Noise Wall or not, but it definitely shares a certain mood with gritty and grimy HNW artists such as Foul and Ptomain...The weirdest thing about it is that it is so simple and constant, with almost no dynamics or change to the sound at all, it manages to be completely engaging and enjoyable to listen to. I definitely recommend picking this one up if you can find it from the label or a distro… This is a great tape, I absolutely love this release and definitely want to hear more stuff from this project.

in the review, some really nice words about my label are said along with the glowing review justin/discretion received.

It is nice to see a label like Rainbow Bridge that is not afraid to go against the “kvlt” trendies and “cool guys” with some stuff that is a bit lighter than black and white photographs of raped holocaust victims turning on a spit while someone takes close-up photographs of their wounds and diseased genitals. As those who are not completely brain dead or brainwashed by modern cultural tripe will know, the name Rainbow Bridge refers not simply to frivolity and color but in fact the bridge Bifrost that connects Asgard (the home of Odin and his son Thor) to the world of mortals in the myths of the Norse people.

i don't intentionally present a notable amount of "humor" in my work per se, as the reviewer has mentioned, but he may be perceiving the bright yet strange aesthetic i strive to commit to as humorous on occasion. i am fine with that. :) however, this release is as calming as it is crushing. check it out in all it's glory.
